Darren Barlow

Darren Barlow trained with Hopkins O’Halloran in Dublin in the late eighties/early nineties and has extensive experience in practice and in the banking, travel and light-engineering industries. He served for five years as CFO of SimulTrans Limited, one of the country’s largest localisation organisations. Having started his own firm in Balbriggan in 2004, he quickly developed a local reputation for high-quality work, friendly service, and a willingness to go above-and-beyond on behalf of clients.

He specialises in compliance and tax work for audit-exempt companies, unincorporated business, partnerships, and individuals, and is also heavily involved in consultancy and financing work for national and international clients. He merged his firm into Landmark Accounting Limited in 2025 and heads up our North Dublin office. Although his playing days are now behind him, Darren is a lifelong Arsenal FC fan and an avid cricket enthusiast.

Pat Horkan

Pat Horkan joined the firm in 2022 having trained with Russell Brennan Keane in Athlone and became a Director in 2024. Along with his compliance activities, he specialises in organising finance for start-up and growing companies and has extensive experience in helping businesses which are experiencing difficulties to implement turnaround plans.

Pat is based in our Longford office and is heavily involved in the local community, a commitment which was recognised in 2017 when he was nominated as Longford Community Games Golden Jubilee Volunteer. He is a member of Kenagh GAA club and dedicates his time to underage coaching and assisting with club activities.

Caroline Linnane

Caroline Linnane is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and holds a Masters of Business in Advanced Business Practice from Athlone Technological University. With a capstone study focused on exploring the career experiences of female business leaders in Ireland, she is a tireless advocate for women-led entrepreneurship in this country.

She joined O'Hare Donohoe from Russell Brennan Keane in 2009 and specialises in consultancy and results-orientated business advice to small business owner-managers. She manages our Westmeath office and is also Managing Director of our Small Business Hub in Mullingar which serves the local start-up community in Westmeath with co-working facilities. In her spare time, she is involved in helping local community and charitable organisations.

Eugene O'Brien

Eugene O'Brien graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1979. He is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, a qualified Personal Insolvency Practitioner, and holds a Diploma in Corporate Insolvency. He established O'Brien & Co. in Longford in 1998 and quickly developed an outstanding reputation in the Midlands. In 2024 he merged his firm with Landmark Accounting Limited and became a Director of the enlarged company.

He specialises in providing sound commercial advice for audit-exempt companies and proactive tax advice for sole traders, partnerships, and farmers. In his spare time, he is a keen golfer, bridge player and a member of Clonguish GAA.

Patrick O'Hare

Patrick O'Hare is a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, and holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a Masters in Accountancy from University College London. He leads the audit and forensic accounting activities within Landmark Accounting Limited

He was also CFO for a large Irish food manufacturer for several years earlier in his career and uses that experience to ensure that all aspects of the Landmark offering to clients is commercially focussed on delivering value. In his spare time he is studying for a Masters in History with Oxford University and has been a Liverpool FC fan for almost fifty years.

Amanda Sheerin

Amanda Sheerin graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1996 and is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a specialist in audit and audit-exempt compliance. Amanda trained with Crowleys DFK in Dublin and joined O'Hare Donohoe in 2004 before being appointed a Partner in 2009.

With the merger of O'Hare Donohoe into Landmark Accounting Limited, Amanda, who is also highly experienced in accounting and auditing standards, charities compliance, and corporate governance, was appointed to head up our Trim office. In her spare time, Amanda is a keen outdoorswoman and is never happier than when hiking in the West of Ireland.
